Wakaw School Home

Wakaw School is proud to recognize Grade 12 student Marti Burechailo for her outstanding achievement in being named a recipient of the prestigious Chancellor’s Scholarship from the University of Regina. Marti is one of only 12 students selected for this honour, which carries a total value of over $46,000.

Makenna’s impressive 3D work caught the attention of Vancouver Animation School, leading to a scholarship and recognition from Disney. Makenna accepted an all-expenses-paid opportunity to complete a Digital Arts Certificate while still in high school. Makenna will embark on a future in animation with the support Emily Carr University.

Congratulations to Kayla for being selected as one of only 10 students chosen to participate in the Horatio Alger Association of Canada’s Annual Excellence Program and attend the Spring conference in Washington, D.C.!
